A collection of hats incorporating smart technologies such as electroluminescence and heat sensitive embroidery to convey sweet and innocent messages. Center & background images are of a prototype hat developed in part with Kodak research facility in the UK with a flexible display material in development, Left drawing and top right photo are of a hood with electroluminescent light that is set off at the sound of the wearers voice. Bottom right photographs are off and on views of a bonnet with thermochromic embroidery that is turned on and off with a switch in the chin tie. The off embroidery is black and blends in to the black silk bonnet. When switched on, the embroidery turns white and becomes visible.
